Job summary

Vopak Terminal Deer Park Inc. is seeking a Team Leader to oversee safe, smooth terminal operations. You will lead a skilled operations team, coordinate audits, and ensure compliance with SHE standards, while maintaining high safety and performance levels.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, incident investigations, and effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders in a dynamic terminal environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead busy terminal operations teams.
• Strong understanding of safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Experience in investigations and incident handling in a terminal setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and safe execution of all terminal operations.
• Lead investigations, troubleshooting and problem solving of incidents.
• Manage manpower administration and shift scheduling.
• Conduct effective shift briefings and communicate objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory and company standards.
• Prepare for and manage audits (customers, ISO, regulatory, THA, safety).
• Deliver customer satisfaction and train operations team members.

Your Mission

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth and safe execution of all operations and day to day activities in the terminal.

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for the smooth and safe execution of all operations in the terminal
• Lead the team in investigations, troubleshooting and problem solving of incidents and abnormal observations
• Manage manpower administration, workflow scheduling and communication
• Lead in effective shift briefings and ensure key management objectives are communicated in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance of local regulatory and company's standards
• Manage and prepare for all audits, e.g. customers, ISO, regulatory, THA and safety audits
• Deliver customer expectations and standards
• Train and supervise Operations team members to ensure they are competent in their jobs

Does this sound like you?

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent
• 3-5 years of relevant terminal operations experience in similar industry
• At least 3 years' experience as a Team Coordinator
• Wealth of hands-on knowledge of terminal operations and in depth site-specific knowledge
• In depth knowledge of products, equipment and a seasoned SHE expert
• Knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations
• Ability to manage multiple party communication and operate under stress critical
