Job summary

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team on site. You will support Classroom Teachers in delivering a learning environment that meets the developmental and educational needs of all children, with emphasis on Mandarin language promotion within a dual-language setting.

The role requires the ability to work with individuals or small groups, follow established programs, and contribute to students’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in working with children in a school.
Mandarin ability preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

To work with an individual or small groups of children as directed by the Classroom Teacher, Deputy Head or Head Master.
To actively promote the learning of Mandarin language within the Pre-Prep dual language environment.
To follow the agreed programmes of work with individuals and groups of children working towards set targets.
To contribute to the well-being of the children in terms of physical, emotional and social needs.
To support staff with minor admin tasks when not directly working with pupils (e.g., photocopying, filing, records).
To make notes in Individual Education Plan (IEP) books for children as required.
Contribute to the CCA programme within the school.
Assisting with the children’s safe use of school transport arrangements.
To provide any other reasonable duties delegated by the School Management
