Job summary

Brighton College (Singapore) Pte Ltd seeks a dedicated assistant to support learning and development in young children under the guidance of the class teacher and Head Master. You will actively promote Mandarin language within the Pre-Prep dual language environment, follow programmes of work, and contribute to pupils' physical, emotional and social well-being.

You may assist with admin tasks, record notes in IEP books, participate in CCA, and help with transport safety; safeguarding duties are

Qualifications

Passionate about working with young children.
Proficient in using computers.
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Ability to converse in Mandarin as it is required in order to teach students mandarin language.
Ability to work under pressure and use of initiative is essential.

Responsibilities

To work with an individual or small groups of children as directed by the class teacher, Deputy Head or Head Master.
To actively promote the learning of Mandarin language within the Pre-Prep dual language environment.
To follow the agreed programmes of work with individuals and groups of children working towards set targets.
To contribute to the well-being of the children in terms of physical, emotional and social needs.
To support staff with minor admin tasks when not directly working with pupils, e.g. photocopy, file or complete records.
To make notes in Individual Education Plan (IEP) books for children as required.
Contribute to the CCA programme within the school.
Assisting with the children’s safe use of school transport arrangements.
To provide any other reasonable duties delegated by the School Management.
