Job summary

Coca-Cola HBC Singapore is seeking a Scientist, Product (Tea) to lead tea concepts from concept to execution at the Tuas Bay CPS Plant. This individual contributor role focuses on hands‑on formulation, testing, and commercialization within a global Tea portfolio.

You will partner with Global Tea GDI, regional teams, and cross‑functional partners to meet taste, quality, regulatory, stability, cost, and manufacturability targets while advancing breakthrough innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Biology, or related fields.
• 5–8 years of experience in product development, preferably in beverages; tea experience is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of beverage formulation, ingredient functionality, and processing fundamentals.
• Familiarity with sensory evaluation, analytical testing, and shelf‑life assessment.
• Ability to connect daily technical work to project and business goals, apply consumer/competitor insights, analyze problems independently, and communicate complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Create Tea Prototypes & Formulations: Develop lab‑scale tea beverage recipes (bases, syrups, and finished beverages) driven by global and regional consumer insights, following GMP and company protocols.
• Analyze global formulas to identify harmonization, lift & shift, and localization opportunities within the Tea portfolio.
• Test, Learn, Improve: Conduct sensory, analytical, and shelf‑life testing; execute stability evaluations; track, document, and interpret results; communicate findings and recommendations.
• Scale Up for Market Support: Pilot and commercial trials for tea innovations, ensuring formulation robustness, ingredient feasibility, cost targets, and packaging compatibility.
• Collaborate Broadly: Partner with Global and Regional GDI, Marketing, SRA, Supply Chain, Packaging, Quality, and Product Commercialization teams; contribute technical insights.
• Maintain Excellence: Own accurate formula entry in formula management systems; keep lab safety, data integrity, and audit readiness.
