Job summary

Can Carlitos in Singapore’s Joo Chiat district seeks a Chef de Partie to join our tapas-focused kitchen. You will assist the Sous Chef and help prepare authentic Spanish dishes, ensuring high-quality taste, temperature, and presentation while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and communication in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Attention to detail in portioning, plating, and quality control.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills in Spanish tapas cuisine.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, temperature, presentation, and preparation of every dish.
• Assist the Sous Chef/Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, including preparation of Spanish cuisine.
• Prepare and organise mise-en-place for daily kitchen operations.
• Follow recipes and methods to maintain consistency across dishes.
• Ensure all food is prepared and stored according to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation throughout service.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, checking, and storage of inventory.
• Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages or quality concerns to the Sous Chef.
• Minimise wastage through proper preparation, portioning, and storage of ingredients.
• Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peaks.
