Introduction
Our client is a leading organization in Singapore that operates a large-scale, business-critical technology environment supporting essential enterprise services. The Systems Team Lead will lead a team of batch operations specialists, manage the enterprise workload automation platform, and ensure the reliable execution of batch processing, file transfer, monitoring, and recovery operations across a 24x7 production environment. This role is ideal for an infrastructure professional with Automic Workload Automation (AWA) expertise who enjoys balancing operational excellence with platform engineering.
Responsibilities
- You will oversee the day-to-day operation of enterprise batch workloads, ensuring production schedules are executed reliably, and service levels are consistently achieved.
- Working closely with application and infrastructure teams, you will configure, schedule, and support batch workflows within AWA and SAP environments, while managing ad-hoc processing, job recovery, and deployment activities.
- You will investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements to strengthen platform stability and operational resilience.
- In addition, you will administer the AWA platform, including workflow development, code promotion across environments, agent administration, platform monitoring, and user access management.
- The role also supports enterprise monitoring, backup and recovery operations, disaster recovery and business continuity exercises, and ensures compliance with operational, audit, security, and governance requirements.
Requirements
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with at least 4 years of experience supporting enterprise workload automation or batch processing environments.
- You have strong hands‑on expertise with AWA and a solid understanding of batch scheduling concepts, workflow dependencies, SLA management, and enterprise file transfer technologies such as FTP, SFTP, or managed file transfer solutions.
- Experience working within ITIL-based operational environments covering incident, problem, and change management is essential.
- Exposure to SAP batch scheduling, Unix/Linux or Windows administration, scripting using Shell or PowerShell, enterprise monitoring platforms such as DataDog, Splunk, or DX UIM, and backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with regulated environments, audit and access governance, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Continuous Delivery Automation (CDA) practices would be beneficial.
