Job summary

NEWTONE SERVICES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced System Manager to lead operations, security, and lifecycle management of critical IT infrastructure supporting public sector systems. You will manage engineering teams and vendors to ensure high availability, resilience, and government ITIL alignment.

You will oversee incident, change, patching, DR/BCP, and security reviews while driving architecture changes, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of infrastructure/system management experience.
• 5+ years leading technical teams or vendors.
• Experience with Windows Server, VMware, storage, backup/recovery, monitoring.
• Experience with Azure, hybrid cloud, GCC environments.
• Experience supporting Singapore Government, Defence, Healthcare, Statutory Boards, or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead system operations, maintenance, and support across enterprise infrastructure.

You will manage engineering teams and vendors while ensuring high availability, operational resilience, and compliance with Singapore Government ICT requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system operations, maintenance, and support across enterprise infrastructure and platform environments.
• Manage system availability, performance, capacity, SLA compliance, and technology lifecycle planning.
• Leadincident, problem, change, release, and configuration managementbased on ITIL practices.
• Oversee patching, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, security reviews, and technical risk management.
• Managebackup, Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCP)and recovery exercises.
• Ensure compliance withIM8, GCC, PDPA, cybersecurity policies, and government audit requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for infrastructure upgrades, architecture changes, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Manage vendors, support contracts, operational deliverables, and service performance.
• Lead and mentor System Engineers and infrastructure support teams.
• Provide management reporting on service performance, risks, incidents, capacity, and compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of infrastructure/system management experience, including 5+ years leading technical teams or vendors.
• Strong experience withWindows Server, VMware, storage, backup/recovery, monitoring, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience withMicrosoft Azure, hybrid cloud, and GCC environmentsis highly desirable.
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, vulnerability management, DR/BCP, and ITIL processes.
• Experience supportingSingapore Government, Defence, Healthcare, Statutory Boards, or regulated environmentspreferred.
• Strong leadership, vendor management, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such asITIL, Microsoft Azure, VMware VCP, CISSP/CISM, or PMPare advantageous.
