Job summary

SAFRA National Service Association is seeking a Systems/Business Analyst who will bridge business needs with technology deliverables and support enterprise systems improvements. You will work with business stakeholders, vendors and IT teams to translate requirements into actionable specifications and oversee delivery across Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Systems Analysis, Software Implementation or related roles; seniority possible for more experienced candidates.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis and functional documentation.
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid project environments.
• Good understanding of system development, systems integration concepts and APIs.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, external vendors and implementation partners.

Main Responsibility

Reports to: IT Manager

• Partner business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that support business objectives and operational needs.
• Bridge the gap between business requirements and technology implementation.
• Ensure business needs are translated into practical, sustainable and fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Support the successful implementation, enhancement and continuous improvement of enterprise systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes through digitalization, automation and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner stakeholders and users to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Facilitate requirement workshops and translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, use cases and process flows.
• Review business processes and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and user experience.
• Assess and challenge proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements, operational needs and long-term maintainability.
• Review vendor proposals, functional specifications and project deliverables to ensure completeness and alignment with approved requirements.
• Act as a trusted technology partner to business stakeholders by providing advice on system capabilities, implementation considerations and solution options.
• Work closely with vendors and stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve functional issues and support implementation activities.
• Provide guidance to business stakeholders on project governance, documentation requirements and implementation best practices.
• Support Agile and Waterfall project delivery activities, including requirement prioritisation, sprint reviews and change request assessments where applicable.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue tracking and defect resolution activities.
• Identify project risks, requirement gaps and implementation dependencies, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project, system and functional documentation.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage digitalisation, automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies to improve business outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Systems Analysis, Software Implementation or related roles. Candidates with more experience may be considered for Senior appointment.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis and functional documentation.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid project environments.
• Good understanding of system development, systems integration concepts and APIs.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, external vendors and implementation partners.
• Understanding of digitalisation, business process improvement, automation or AI-enabled solutions will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
