Job summary

PacificLight Power Pte Ltd is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst to manage the full SDLC for IT application projects, from requirements through post-implementation support. You will liaise with business stakeholders, drive CI/CD and automated testing, and oversee cloud-hosted applications and low-code tools (e.g., SharePoint).

• AI implementation exposure is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT application projects from requirements to post-implementation support.

Job description

• Manage the full software / system development lifecycle (SDLC) for IT application projects, from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Liaise with business stakeholders to understand needs, translate them into functional/technical specifications, provide assessment and ensure solutions meet business objectives.
• Work closely with procurement / business stakeholders throughout the IT system tender process including initiation, evaluation and tender award.
• Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices to improve release quality, deployment speed and reliability across application projects.
• Manage and support cloud-hosted business applications and low-code/no-code applications (e.g. SharePoint, AI-based tools), including IaaS infrastructure, API management/integration platforms, working with vendors and internal teams on provisioning, performance, security and cost optimisation solutions.
• Prepare and maintain IT application project documentation, including process flows, tender specifications, evaluation / approval memos, and SDLC/CI/CD documentation such as technical design and release notes.
• Track project progress, flag risks/delays, and provide regular status updates to management.
• Work with vendors and internal IT teams to track project timelines, deliverables, and issue resolution.
• Own system testing strategy, including test planning, data validation, and coordination of automated and regression testing; manage the application issues list and support troubleshooting with internal and external operational stakeholders.
• Support change management activities, including user training and adoption, and contribute to reviewing and improving SOPs and SDLC processes to help raise process maturity and delivery quality over time.
• Guide and mentor junior team members on SDLC best practices, coding/configuration standards, low-code/no-code standards and DevOps tooling where applicable.

Requirements:

• Degree or higher in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as an IT Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with hands‑on involvement in requirements analysis, solution design, application management and support, or project coordination, including at least 3 years of hands‑on software/application development experience would be preferred.
• Proven experience managing the full SDLC, including hands‑on exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools / frameworks.
• Experience in managing cloud‑based applications and infrastructure (IaaS), and API management / integration platforms.
• Experience in supporting business IT application systems and projects (ERP, CRM, or similar enterprise systems).
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, good collaborative team spirit, and a can‑do attitude.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Hardworking, proactive, and self‑driven with a strong willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment, and to guide less experienced team members.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, tender preparation and contract/​vendor evaluation is an advantage.
• Exposure to AI implementation or AI‑driven solutions in business applications is an advantage.
• Prior experience guiding, mentoring, or informally leading junior team members is an advantage.
