Job summary

PacificLight Power Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled IT Business Systems Analyst to lead the SDLC for IT application projects, from requirements to post-implementation support.

You will liaise with stakeholders, drive CI/CD adoption, and manage cloud-based apps and API platforms. Collaboration with procurement and vendors is essential, with mentoring of junior team members encouraged.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
• 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Systems Analyst or similar, with hands-on involvement in requirements analysis, solution design, application management and support, or project coordination.
• Proven experience managing the full SDLC, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools/frameworks.
• Experience in managing cloud-based applications and infrastructure (IaaS), and API management/integration platforms.
• Experience in supporting business IT application systems and projects (ERP, CRM, or similar enterprise systems).
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, collaborative spirit, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Hardworking, proactive, and self-driven with a willingness to learn new systems/technologies.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team, and to guide less experienced team members.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, tender preparation and contract/vendor evaluation an advantage.
• Exposure to AI in business applications is an advantage.
• Experience mentoring junior staff is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full software/system development lifecycle (SDLC) for IT application projects from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, deployment and post-implementation support.
• Liaise with business stakeholders to translate needs into functional/technical specifications and ensure solutions meet objectives.
• Collaborate with procurement and business stakeholders through IT system tender process from initiation to award.
• Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to improve release quality, speed and reliability.
• Manage and support cloud-hosted business apps and low-code/no-code tools (SharePoint, AI-based tools), including IaaS, API management/integration platforms.
• Prepare and maintain IT project documentation (process flows, tender specs, memos, SDLC/CI/CD docs).
• Track progress, flag risks/delays, and provide regular status updates to management.
• Work with vendors and internal IT teams to track timelines, deliverables and issue resolution.
• Own system testing strategy including test planning, data validation, and coordination of automated/regression testing; manage issues.
• Support change management activities including user training and adoption; review/improve SOPs/SDLC processes.
• Guide and mentor junior team members on SDLC best practices, coding/configuration standards, low-code/no-code standards and DevOps tooling.

• Manage and support cloud-hosted business applications and low-code/no-code applications (e.g. SharePoint, AI-based tools), including IaaS infrastructure, API management/integration platforms, working with vendors and internal teams on provisioning, performance, security and cost optimisation solutions.
• Prepare and maintain IT application project documentation, including process flows, tender specifications, evaluation / approval memos, and SDLC/CI/CD documentation such as technical design and release notes.
• Track project progress, flag risks/delays, and provide regular status updates to management.
• Work with vendors and internal IT teams to track project timelines, deliverables, and issue resolution.
• Own system testing strategy, including test planning, data validation, and coordination of automated and regression testing; manage the application issues list and support troubleshooting with internal and external operational stakeholders.
• Support change management activities, including user training and adoption, and contribute to reviewing and improving SOPs and SDLC processes to help raise process maturity and delivery quality over time.
• Guide and mentor junior team members on SDLC best practices, coding/configuration standards, low-code/no-code standards and DevOps tooling where applicable.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as an IT Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with hands‑on involvement in requirements analysis, solution design, application management and support, or project coordination, including at least 3 years of hands‑on software/application development experience would be preferred.
• Proven experience managing the full SDLC, including hands‑on exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools / frameworks.
• Experience in managing cloud-based applications and infrastructure (IaaS), and API management / integration platforms.
• Experience in supporting business IT application systems and projects (ERP, CRM, or similar enterprise systems).
