Job summary

Referment is seeking a Systems Administrator for its Singapore office to support Windows and UNIX environments, storage and computing, AV/communications platforms, and end-user equipment on-site.

You will work with global teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve issues, supporting Windows PCs/servers, UNIX servers, mobile devices, and trading-floor technology while contributing to automation improvements. Occasional travel to HK/Shanghai may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Windows enterprise environments and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with hardware, software, AV, and remote-user support.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Clear interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Referment is working with a global quantitative investment business seeking a Systems Administrator for its Singapore office. The systems function supports enterprise technology across Windows and UNIX environments, storage and clustered computing, communications platforms and end-user equipment.

The Role

• Provide in-person support covering PC hardware, peripherals, software deployments, mobile-device management, videoconferencing, AV equipment, trading-floor technology and occasional data-centre work.
• Work with global teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve technical and non-technical issues.
• Support Windows PCs and servers, UNIX servers, mobile devices and communications infrastructure.
• Investigate complex issues, administer infrastructure-level systems and contribute to automation and efficiency improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows enterprise environments and Microsoft 365.
• Practical systems-administration familiarity across hardware, software, desk-side, trading-floor, AV, conferencing, event or remote-user support.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with curiosity to solve unfamiliar problems and improve processes.
• Clear interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Availability to work on site Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend assignments.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Desirable Experience

Python, PowerShell or another scripting language, Linux experience and working proficiency in Mandarin would be useful. Mandarin is preferred because the role interacts with regional Mandarin-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.
