Job summary

Millennium is seeking an experienced professional to scale its systematic operations and support engineering capabilities in Singapore. The role focuses on building and maintaining a reliable, scalable platform for trading strategy monitoring, reporting, and operations.

You will partner with portfolio managers and internal stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical solutions, while reducing operational risk through monitoring and workflow tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development experience in production environments.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Ability to translate requirements from portfolio managers into technical solutions.
• Understanding of NLP, supervised/unsupervised learning, and generative AI models.
• Experience operating and monitoring low-latency trading environments.
• Familiarity with quantitative finance and electronic trading concepts.
• Experience with backend or distributed systems and technologies such as C/C++, Java, Scala, Go, Kafka, containers, and cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain a reliable, scalable, and integrated platform for trading strategy monitoring, reporting, and operations.
• Partner with portfolio managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver production support solutions.
• Reduce operational risk by implementing monitoring, reporting, and trade workflow tools across trading and operations processes.
• Develop automated systems and workflows to improve efficiency, stability, and scalability of trading/operational support.
• Streamline development and deployment processes to strengthen release quality and production readiness.
• Implement MCP servers to support the broader Support Engineering team and enable proactive production monitoring.
• Help maintain a robust production environment that supports systematic trading activity and high service reliability.
