Job summary

NCS in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented System Engineer with deep Windows Server and VMware expertise to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise infrastructure. You will ensure performance, security, and reliability across our global and local environments.

You will design and manage Windows Server deployments, administer VMware vSphere/ESXi, monitor and tune systems, and implement backup/DR solutions. Strong scripting in PowerShell and solid AD/DNS/DHCP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on system or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Windows Server administration.
• Expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP) and troubleshooting.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Solid Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP knowledge.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Windows Server environments across 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022.
• Administer and optimize VMware vSphere/ESXi infrastructure, including host config and VM provisioning.
• Monitor system performance and tune to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and document solutions.
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and security configurations.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop infrastructure runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams for capacity planning and upgrades.
• Perform regular security assessments and apply patches.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell.
