Job summary

NCS Group in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented System Engineer focused on Windows Server and VMware. You will design, implement, and maintain our enterprise infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and reliability.

The role requires 3+ years in system or infrastructure engineering with strong Windows Server and VMware expertise, plus scripting for automation. Knowledge of AD, DNS/DHCP, backups/DR, and documentation is highly valued.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on system or infrastructure engineering experience.
Advanced Windows Server administration and management skills.
Hands-on VMware vSphere/ESXi expertise.
Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with storage management (SAN/NAS) and backups/DR.
Proficient PowerShell scripting for automation and admin tasks.
Solid Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP understanding.
Experience documenting solutions and runbooks.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage Windows Server environments across versions (2012 R2–2022).
Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi, including host configuration and VM provisioning.
Monitor performance and implement tuning to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot complex infra issues and document resolutions.
Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, security configurations, and user accounts.
Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions and test restores.
Develop infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
Collaborate with IT teams on capacity planning and upgrades.
Perform regular security assessments and apply patches in a controlled manner.
Automate routine tasks using PowerShell to boost efficiency.
