Job description

I am keen to speak with experienced data center project leader to take a senior role across its growing activities in Asia. This is a regional position for someone who has spent significant time delivering complex data center developments and understands what it takes to move a project successfully from early planning and design through construction, commissioning and final handover.

The role will have significant involvement across the project lifecycle and will work closely with internal leadership, consultants, contractors, vendors and other delivery partners across the region.

The role: You will provide senior leadership across multiple data center projects, helping establish how projects are planned, governed and delivered across the region. A large part of the role will be making sure that design, procurement, construction and commissioning remain aligned as projects progress. You will work closely with design and engineering teams on critical M&E infrastructure, while also challenging programme, cost, quality, safety, constructability and delivery risks before they become project issues.

You will oversee external consultants, contractors and specialist vendors and ensure there is clear accountability across the delivery chain. As projects move towards completion, you will also make sure commissioning, testing, documentation and handover are properly managed so that facilities can transition smoothly into live operations.

Beyond individual projects, you will help develop a consistent approach to project delivery across APAC. You will provide senior management with a clear view of programme status, commercial exposure, delivery risks and key decisions, while helping build the internal and external capability needed to support future growth.

About you: You will bring 16 years of experience across data centers, mission-critical infrastructure or similarly complex engineering and construction environments, with recent experience leading major data center projects at a senior level. You should have strong knowledge of the full data center project lifecycle and a good understanding of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, construction, commissioning and operational handover. Just as importantly, you should be comfortable leading large multidisciplinary teams and managing consultants, main contractors and specialist vendors across different markets.

You will have dealt with senior stakeholders, complex commercial decisions and challenging project situations where programme, cost, technical quality and delivery expectations all need to be balanced. An engineering, construction or related technical background would be highly relevant, together with experience delivering hyperscale, large colocation or other major mission-critical facilities.
