NES Fircroft seeks a Senior Data Center Operations Leader to own regional DC operations in Singapore, walking the floor during incidents and presenting performance to major customers. You will raise availability and resilience, implement governance, and guide teams across multiple countries in Asia.
You will also oversee site go-live readiness with construction and commissioning, drive improvements in reliability, energy efficiency, and automation, and manage the regional budget and staffing
I am looking to speak with Senior Data Center Operations Leader to take full ownership of how the data centres running across the region. This is a Singapore-based role for someone who is as comfortable walking a facility floor during an incident as presenting service performance to a major customer. You will be accountable for keeping live sites safe, resilient and reliable, and for making sure the customers who depend on them feel that every day.
You will set the direction for regional operations and make sure it supports where the business is heading and what customers have been promised. That means raising the standard of availability and resilience across every site and putting clear governance, procedures and ways of working in place, so operations feel consistent whichever country you are in. You will lead the teams who run, maintain and protect the critical environment, and you will be the person who steps in when something serious goes wrong, guiding the response through to root cause and making sure the lessons are acted on.
You will also be closely involved before a site goes live. That includes working alongside construction and commissioning teams to make sure new facilities are properly prepared and handed over cleanly into live operations. Alongside this, you will drive improvements in reliability, energy efficiency, automation and cost, own the regional operating budget and resourcing plan, and build trusted relationships with large cloud and colocation customers, vendors and partners.
You have spent around 15 years in hyperscale, colocation or other mission-critical data centre operations, and you have led teams across more than one country in Asia. You understand power, cooling, UPS, generators and building management systems well enough to challenge the detail. You have run round-the-clock operations against demanding uptime and SLA commitments, and you have brought new facilities into service. Your judgement in incident, risk and compliance situations is sound, and you are credible with senior customers and stakeholders.
A degree in engineering, building services or a related discipline is expected. Experience supporting hyperscale or large enterprise customers and relevant mission-critical certifications would be a real advantage.
