Job summary

GIC Private Limited in Singapore seeks a Senior VP to lead Compute Platform Services within its Technology Group. You will own architecture for on-premise compute, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience, aligning with business risk and regulatory expectations.

The role requires deep hands-on engineering leadership and a track record delivering resilient, scalable infrastructure. You will mentor engineers, govern vendor engagements, and drive strategy across data centres, public cloud, and SaaS

Qualifications

• 12+ years in infrastructure engineering.
• At least 5 years in enterprise backup and recovery.
• At least 5 years leading engineers or major technical workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and roadmap for on-premises compute, including servers, virtualization, and HCI; manage backup across data centers, public cloud, and SaaS.
• Review and approve compute designs; challenge vendor and SI designs.
• Engineer and operate enterprise backup platforms (e.g., Rubrik, Commvault, Rubrik); define retention with Records, Legal, Risk.
• Build cyber resilience with immutable copies, isolated recovery environments, and ransomware detection.
• Agree RPO/RTO targets and conduct DR tests; lead technical recovery during incidents.
• Drive infrastructure risk remediation; automate backup compliance checks and reporting.
• Provide engineering oversight of key management, PKI, HSMs, and post-quantum migration.
