Job summary

KYOJO DINING PTE. LTD. is hiring an Assistant Chef or Kitchen Assistant for a full-time position in our Japanese restaurant. The role involves supporting chefs in creating sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes, and ensuring timely preparation and presentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Japanese restaurants is an advantage.
• Willing to learn and follow instructions.
• Hardworking, responsible and a good team player.
• Able to work 6 days a week, including weekends and Public Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs in preparing sushi, sashimi and Japanese dishes.
• Wash, cut and prepare fresh ingredients such as seafood, meat and vegetables.
• Prepare ingredients and kitchen supplies for daily operations.
• Ensure food quality and proper food storage.
• Keep the kitchen and work area clean and tidy.
• Work together with the kitchen team during service.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef.
