Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quality Engineer to manage customer and supplier quality in a plastics moulding environment. The role focuses on QA documentation, data control, and driving containment actions and permanent corrective actions.

You will analyze quality performance, monitor vendor quality, and coordinate APQP/PPAP processes. This position is based in Woodlands with standard Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma / ITC qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the plastic moulding industry.
• Preferably possess a Class 3 Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for QA documentation and data control.
• Conduct analysis and reporting of internal and external quality performance.
• Analyse quality issues raised by customers, QC and production, and drive containment actions and permanent corrective actions.
• Identify and initiate actions to prevent non-conformity relating to internal processes and products.
• Monitor vendor quality performance and verify corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
• Train QA Inspectors when necessary.
• Review, conduct necessary testing and approve OI samples submitted by suppliers.
• Monitor and follow up on issues until closed.
• Suggest cost reduction activities through quality improvement.
• Participate as a member of the APQP team, and prepare and review PPAP documents.

Quality Engineer (Customer / Supplier Quality)

• Salary: $2,500 – $3,500
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:45pm
• Working Location: Woodlands

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for QA documentation and data control.
• Conduct analysis and reporting of internal and external quality performance.
• Analyse quality issues raised by customers, QC and production, and drive containment actions and permanent corrective actions.
• Identify and initiate actions to prevent non-conformity relating to internal processes and products.
• Monitor vendor quality performance and verify corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
• Train QA Inspectors when necessary.
• Implement control for the reject area for non-conforming materials and products.
• Raise CAR according to standard procedures, review NCMR and issue recall notices when necessary. Monitor and follow up until issues are closed.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily with necessary countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
• Supervise the practice of SPC procedures internally and initiate reaction plans for out-of-control situations.
• Analyse supplier CPK data and measurement results, and request actions when necessary.
• Assist the QA Manager in coordinating Engineering Change and Production Part Approval Process.
• Review, conduct necessary testing and approve OI samples submitted by suppliers.
• Supervise the generation of QA work instructions, procedures and part inspection plans.
• Conduct analysis on quality issues found by QC Inspectors and work with other departments on problem resolution.
• Monitor vendor quality performance and verify corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
• Suggest cost reduction activities through quality improvement.
• Participate as a member of the APQP team, and prepare and review PPAP documents.
• Understand customer requirements, adapt them and share with all relevant departments.
