Private Advertiser in Singapore seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to support quality projects, perform inspections, and verify compliance with specifications. You will investigate non-conformances, drive CAPA, and maintain the QMS in line with ISO 9001.
Collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will review PPAP submissions, lead audits, and prepare KPI reports to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Support quality-related projects and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
Perform product inspections, measurements, and data analysis to verify compliance with quality requirements and specifications.
Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality issues, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
Conduct internal quality audits, supplier audits, and supplier qualification assessments.
Review PPAP submissions, quality records, process control plans, and related documentation to ensure compliance.
Work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and drive process improvements.
Prepare and present quality performance reports, KPIs, and metrics for management and customer reviews.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Support supplier development activities to improve supplier performance, capability, and quality standards.
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.
Requirements:
ITE, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Supplier Development, or Supplier Qualification.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing, precision engineering, and quality assurance environments, preferably within a high-mix, low-volume production setting.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T, machining processes, and plating processes.
Knowledge of quality improvement and problem-solving methodologies such as CAPA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and Error Proofing.
Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and process capability studies.
Proficient in using OGP Smart Scope measurement systems independently.
Skilled in the use of inspection and measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and profile projectors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
