Job summary

RRECRUITER PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality, QA processes, and ensure compliance with corporate requirements.

You will conduct technical evaluations, lead 8D projects, review specifications, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to implement corrective actions. The role emphasizes data-driven decisions and maintaining supplier quality records to uphold material quality across the board.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in Supplier Quality / Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Experience with mechanical components or PCBA preferred.
• Knowledge of 8D, 5 Why, Pareto, FMEA and Quality Control Plans.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Independent and proactive with minimal supervision.
• Experience with diverse cultural backgrounds preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor/electronics/automation/precision engineering advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Conducttechnical evaluations and assessmentsfor new suppliers and periodic assessments of key existing suppliers.
• Work closely with suppliers to drivequality improvement initiatives, corrective actions and compliance with company requirements.
• Review material specifications and quality issues, determine defects and coordinate with suppliers onreturns and replacement.
• Lead suppliers in applying8D and other quality improvement toolsto identify root causes, implement corrective/preventive actions and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with suppliers, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve material and quality issues and agree on appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain and monitorsupplier quality records, performance ratings and evaluation databasesto support supply chain management.
• Provide guidance to Incoming Quality Inspectors oninspection methods, processes and quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of supplier quality and overall incoming material quality.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree inMechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineeringor a related discipline.
• Minimum2 years of experience in Supplier Quality / Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Experience withmechanical components, PCBA or bothis preferred.
• Good knowledge of quality and problem-solving tools such as8D, 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, FMEA and Quality Control Plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Independent, proactive and willing to learn, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working withsuppliers and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Candidates with experience in thesemiconductor, electronics, automation or precision engineering industrywill be an advantage.
