Job summary

STAR FLORIST WEDDING is seeking a responsible Florist Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, manage staff, and ensure floral products meet our quality standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure during peak seasons. You will coordinate with sales, warehouse, delivery and admin teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in florist/floral production/manufacturing/warehouse or related industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team under pressure, especially during peak seasons.
• Hands-on, proactive, detail-oriented and organised.
• Independent problem-solving for day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities: flower prep, arrangements, packing and orders.
• Plan daily work schedules and assign tasks to staff.
• Monitor staff performance, productivity and attendance.
• Ensure floral products meet quality standards and customer specs.
• Manage inventory of fresh flowers, materials and packaging.
• Care for flowers to minimise wastage and extend shelf life.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace.
• Coordinate with sales, warehouse, delivery and admin teams to meet deadlines.
• Train new employees and guide production staff.
• Identify issues and implement improvements to boost efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, including flower preparation, floral arrangements, packing and order fulfilment.
• Plan daily work schedules and allocate tasks to production staff.
• Monitor staff performance, productivity and attendance.
• Ensure all floral products meet the required quality standards and customer specifications.
• Manage inventory of fresh flowers, floral materials, packaging supplies and other production items.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and care of fresh flowers to minimise wastage.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Coordinate with the sales, warehouse, delivery and administrative teams to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Train new employees and guide production staff in their daily duties.
• Identify operational issues and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a florist, floral production, manufacturing, warehouse or related industry.
• Good leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Able to manage a team and work effectively under pressure, especially during peak seasons and festive periods.
• Responsible, proactive, detail‑oriented and willing to take a hands‑on approach.
• Able to work independently and solve day‑to‑day operational problems.
• Basic computer skills for production records, inventory tracking and scheduling.
• Knowledge of flower handling and floral arrangement techniques would be an advantage.
