Job summary

HOCKFULL CONSTRUCTION is seeking a site supervisor to oversee construction activities, manage on-site planning and labor deployment, and coordinate with clients and workers across Singapore. The role requires handling emergencies, ensuring safety, and maintaining dormitory and site compliance with MOM rules.

The candidate should have a diploma in civil/engineering, hold a class 4 driving license, and possess 5+ years of Singapore driving experience.

Qualifications

• At least a diploma in civil engineering, electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Have class 4 driving license and 5+ years driving experience in Singapore.
• Experience in marketing and supervisory roles is desired.
• Able to work with computers, especially MS Excel/Word, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Site supervision of construction works to meet deadlines
• Responsible for on-site construction planning, handovers and personnel arrangements and labor deployment
• Resolve various problems and handling emergencies on the site
• Liaise and coordinate with both the clients, foreign workers and office to ensure smooth operations
• Responsible for supervision of foreign workers and their wellbeing, health and safety and others
• Analyse and evaluate foreign workers and clients issues and feedback to improve client satisfaction
• Familiar with Singapore roads and traffic rules
• Transport workers between locations around Singapore
• Maintain engine and cleanliness of lorry
• Perform transportation duties as deployed by the supervisor and carry out the duties
• Perform collection and delivery of goods/materials to required destination
• Responsible for daily inspection of lorry
• To assist the Manager in supervising and coordinating the daily operational provision of the facilities at the areas of the dormitory.
• Acting as Site Warden, to conduct regular inspection of room check and facilities to ensure compliance of the regulation
• Ensure enforcement on the rules and regulation for the dormitory.
• Ensure health and safety of the dormitory areas and sites
• Oversee and ensure site quarter’s conditions and lodging records are in accordance to MOM requirement
• Monitor and ensure all internal and subcon workers are registered and attendances are properly captured
• Monitor and ensure the workers’ permits and certificates are valid and updated accordingly
• To handle feedback and complaints and update the Manager accordingly
• To take corrective action and implement preventive measures when required
• To assist in the preparation of monthly reports, annual capital and operating budgets and other relevant reports
• To ensure that all equipment are in good working condition
• Have class 4 license
• Familiar with Singapore roads and traffic rules
• Transport workers between locations around Singapore

Job Requirements

• At least a diploma in civil engineering, electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Have class 4 driving license
• Have 5 years and above experience driving in Singapore
• At least 2-3 years experience in marketing and supervisory roles
• Able to work with computers, especially MS Excel and Word
• Able to communicate in english and with foreign workers
• Responsible and positive with ‘can-do’ attitude
• Able to work efficiently and effective under high pressure
• Must be contactable by means of hand phone at any time including weekend and public holidays
• Willing to work long hours, night work, overtime and Sunday work if required
