Job summary

Vanguard Transport Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee daily site operations, manpower, and safety across our construction and earthworks projects in Singapore.

Responsibilities include supervising site activities, coordinating logistics and deliveries, and ensuring compliance with WSH and regulatory requirements, while leading a multi-national workforce and maintaining reports for Project Manager.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid Singapore Class 4 driving licence.
• At least 5 years of experience operating concrete mixer trucks.
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction practices and WSH regulations.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Hands-on mechanical skills repairing heavy vehicles and construction equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for managing a multi-national workforce.
• Good command of English for reporting and coordination with clients and consultants.
• Ability to communicate in Bengali, Tamil or Mandarin is an advantage.
• Willing to work at different sites, weekends or night shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure works meet drawings, specs, schedules and quality standards.
• Plan, assign and monitor work for site workers and subcontractors; conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate site logistics including scheduling trucks, mixers, machinery and deliveries.
• Drive the concrete mixer truck when required to support operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain trucks and site equipment; coordinate major repairs.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment; maintain maintenance records.
• Enforce WSH requirements; conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with MOM, BCA, LTA and NEA regulations.
• Inspect completed works for defects and arrange rectification.
• Monitor material usage, equipment condition and site housekeeping.
• Prepare daily site reports, manpower records and progress updates for the Project Manager.
• Liaise with main contractors, consultants, clients and authorities on site matters.
• Attend site coordination meetings and follow up on actions.
• Handle incidents and near-misses and support investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure works are carried out according to drawings, specifications, schedule and quality standards
• Plan, assign and monitor work for site workers and subcontractors; conduct daily briefings and toolbox meetings
• Coordinate site logistics, including scheduling of tipper trucks, concrete mixer trucks, machinery and material deliveries
• Drive the company's concrete mixer truck when required to support site operations and deliveries
• Carry out basic troubleshooting, repair and routine maintenance of company trucks and site equipment, and coordinate with workshops for major repairs
• Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment, and keep maintenance and repair records
• Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements on site; carry out site inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments, and ensure Permit-to-Work procedures are followed
• Ensure compliance with MOM, BCA, LTA and NEA regulations
