Job summary

Baker Hughes in Singapore seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to direct Subsea Tree assembly, testing and integration operations. You will drive readiness, approve routings and documentation, and lead a team of engineers and technicians to deliver high‑quality subsea products.

You will apply Lean Manufacturing, problem‑solving and project leadership to ensure safety, quality and on‑time delivery across complex offshore systems. Travel to Batam and broader Asia regions is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of subsea tree manufacturing experience in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with FAT, eFAT, SIT, insulation and subsea tree installation requirements.
• Proven Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations for Subsea Tree and Connection System products across assembly, FAT, eFAT, SIT, insulation and SIT.
• Drive manufacturing readiness activities to support project execution and customer delivery.
• Review/approve manufacturing routings, operation sequences and Digital Work Instructions (DWI).
• Develop and maintain Work Instructions, SOPs and process documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians and shop floor teams.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement CAPAs for manufacturing and testing non-conformances.
• Coordinate with Design, Project, Quality and Ops teams to ensure tooling and resources are available.
• Support Lean initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity and delivery.
• Support Safety Risk Assessments and Change Management activities for processes.
• Review lifting plans and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
• Facilitate discussions to align with customer requirements and project plans.
• Support feasibility studies and identify risks and resource needs during tender and planning.
