Job summary

Baker Hughes in Singapore seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to lead complex Subsea Tree manufacturing operations, including assembly, FAT, eFAT, SIT and related testing. You will drive readiness, develop work instructions, and provide technical leadership to shop-floor teams while coordinating with engineering and operations to ensure resources and tooling are in place.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of Subsea Tree manufacturing experience in Oil & Gas.
• Experience supporting Subsea Tree build activities from sub-assembly to unitization.
• Proven FAT, eFAT, SIT, insulation and Subsea Tree installation knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of Connection System products and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Proven Lean manufacturing leadership and continuous improvement track record.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel to Batam, Indonesia and Asia region as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support manufacturing operations for Subsea Tree and Connection System products across assembly, FAT, eFAT, SIT.
• Drive manufacturing readiness activities to support project execution and customer delivery.
• Review and approve routings, operation sequences and Digital Work Instructions per engineering and quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain Work Instructions, SOPs and manufacturing process documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians and shop floor teams.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering, Project Engineering, Quality and Operations to ensure tooling and resources are available.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, productivity and delivery.
• Support Safety Risk Assessments and Management of Change activities.
• Review critical lifting plans and ensure compliance with EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate technical discussions to clearly understand and execute customer requirements.
• Support feasibility studies and identify manufacturing risks and resource needs during tender/project planning.
