Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore looks for a logistics operations assistant to coordinate transportation of product-related materials and parts. You will plan, liaise with sub-contracting service providers, and confirm arrangements to support timely operations fulfilments.

The role requires a Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering and a meticulous approach. You will handle documentation, labeling, and contribute to continuous improvement within the sub-con area, while ensuring safety and efficiency in daily

Responsibilities

• Manage internal product materials/parts per VDL procedures.
• Prepare transit documents before dispatch to supplier.
• Handle non-conforming parts by returning/receiving with internal teams and suppliers.
• Maintain safety and security of the sub-con area.
• Support transport booking for internal and external use.
• Liaise with suppliers for collection to rework parts.
• Prepare and paste labels with project code, production order, and quantities on components.
• Support and participate in continuous improvement programs.

Job description

Purpose: Responsible for arranging transportation operations and activities for product-related materials and parts. This includes planning, liaising, and confirming with sub-contracting service providers to receive and return materials/parts to support operations fulfilments.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Manage product-related materials/parts from internally in accordance with VDL operational Procedures


• Prepare the transit documents for administrative before dispatch of product to Supplier


• Handling non-conforming part by returning and receiving product from internal and supplier


• Maintain safety and security of the sub-con area to ensure a safe work environment


• Support in transport booking for internal & external use to ensure deliverables are met


• Liaise with supplier for collection to rework parts


• Prepare labels with details (E.g. Project code, production order number, and quantities) according to individual folders and paste them on the components and parts.


• Support and participate in company continuous improvement program
