Job summary

GD Precision PTE. LTD. is seeking a procurement professional to manage sourcing activities and ensure timely deliveries for production.

You will work with suppliers and internal teams to align purchases with budget and lead times. This role emphasizes cost control, data accuracy, and continuous process improvements, with a focus on high-mix, low-volume precision fabrication materials such as ferrous and non-ferrous blocks and castings.

Responsibilities

• Source materials and components to meet production needs and budgets.
• Ensure on-time deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor and analyze purchasing costs with regular reporting.
• Collaborate with production to plan purchasing within budget.
• Maintain master files and relevant procurement reports.
• Issue Delivery Orders and update supplier database.
• Support office admin and reporting tasks as needed.
• Manage high-mix, low-volume parts in precision fabrication purchasing.
• Source ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including blocks and castings.
• Maintain high on-time delivery (OTD) performance.
• Manage supplier quality with QC to ensure service/parts quality.
• Coordinate material shortages and allocate between suppliers for priority.
• Minimize cost impact from product EOL or ECO changes.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and internal teams to meet NPI targets.
• Ensure data accuracy for timely decision making.
• Pursue continuous process improvement and enhancements.
• Measure supplier performance metrics against targets.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.

• Responsible for effective sourcing to meet production needs and costing
• Ensure on time deliveries from suppliers / sub con
• Monitor / analyze purchasing cost closely with daily/monthly/quarterly reporting
• Work closely with production team to plan for purchasing with budgetary control
• Assist in update and maintaining master file and other relevant reports
• Issue customer Delivery Order and update database
• Support office administrative and reporting functions as and when required
• Manage high mix low volume parts in precision engineering fabrication purchasing management
• Source for ferrous and non-ferrous materials (include block material and castings)
• Maintain high On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance of suppliers
• Manage suppliers’ quality with QC to ensure all quality level of services and parts to end customers
• Manage critical material shortage and allocation between suppliers to enable shipment priority
• Minimize cost impact from reduced demand caused by product EOL (End of Life) or Engineering Change (ECO)
• Collaborate and coordinate with both external suppliers and internal teams to achieve product delivery and NPI (New Product Introduction) targets
• Manage data accuracy on a timely manner for decision making
• Always look for continuous process improvement and enhancement
• Measure and manage supplier performance metrics to ensure the goals are met
• Perform other ad-hoc task as assigned by superior/management from time to time
