PRIMESTAFF MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an Investigation Officer to support the school discipline team in fair, thorough investigations of student misconduct. You will interview students, document findings, and prepare reports for the discipline committee.

Qualifications

  • Diploma from local polytechnic or equivalent, preferably in a related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience working with youth in a professional setting (school, social service, law enforcement, or related).
  • 2 years of experience conducting investigations or case management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents and staff.
  • Ability to resolve disputes and reduce tensions among students.
  • Ability to manage emergencies, student incidents, and safety concerns professionally.
  • Good report writing and documentation skills, including preparing accurate reports and statements.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured interviews and gather information for misconduct cases.
  • Document findings accurately and objectively per MOE guidelines.
  • Prepare investigation reports for the discipline committee.
  • Review CCTV footage, statements and other evidence as needed.
  • Ensure fair, unbiased and trauma-informed processes.
  • Liaise with external agencies (Singapore Police Force, MSF, or Child Protective Services) when escalation is required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of case information and records.
  • Conduct regular rehabilitation check-ins with students and engage parents.
  • Maintain rehabilitation activity records and student progress.
  • Contribute to preventive efforts, including on-site walkabouts to deter misconduct.
  • Maintain proper case documentation per school data policies.

Job Scope
Investigation of Student Misconduct

- The officer will assist the school's discipline team in conducting fair, thorough, and sensitive investigations into student misconduct cases. Specific duties include:

  • Gathering information through structured interviews with students involved in disciplinary cases, including the accused, victims, and witnesses.
  • Documenting investigation findings accurately and objectively in accordance with school and MOE guidelines.
  • Preparing clear and concise investigation reports for the consideration of the discipline committee.
  • Assisting in the review of CCTV footage, written statements, and other relevant evidence where necessary.
  • Ensuring that all investigation processes are conducted in a fair, unbiased, and trauma-informed manner.
  • Liaising with external agencies such as the Singapore Police Force, Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), or Child Protective Services where cases require escalation.
  • Officer must maintain strict confidentiality of all case-related information and student records.
Rehabilitation & Student Support

Beyond investigation, the officer will play an active role in supporting students through structured rehabilitation programmes. Duties include:

  • Conducting regular one-on-one check-in sessions with students under rehabilitation to monitor progress and provide guidance.
  • Engaging parents and guardians as active partners in the rehabilitation process through regular updates and joint meetings.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all rehabilitation activities and student progress.
Preventive Work

The officer will also contribute to preventive efforts to reduce the recurrence of misconduct. Duty include walkabout in school to deter and detect illegal activities such as vaping and smoking and prevent violation of school rules.

Administrative & Coordination Duties

Maintaining proper documentation of all cases, rehabilitation plans, and student interactions in accordance with school data management policies

Requirements:
  • Diploma from local polytechnic or equivalent, preferably in a related field

  • 2 years of experience in conducting investigations or case management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents and staff
  • Ability to resolve disputes and reduce tensions among students
  • Ability to manage emergencies, student incidents, and safety concerns appropriately and professionally
  • Good report writing and documentation skills, including the preparation of accurate reports, statements and case documentation
  • Ability to build trust and maintain positive stakeholder relationships, while working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Additional:
  • Contract Period: From 1 January 2027 to 30 November 2027
  • Monday to Thursday: 8.00am to 5.30pm (including 1 hour lunch break)
  • Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm (including 1 hour lunch break)
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
