PERSOL in Singapore is seeking a Student Management professional to deliver intervention sessions for students and to maintain confidential records of progress.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group intervention and investigative sessions for students.
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies for students with disciplinary issues.
  • Maintain confidential records of sessions and student progress; include statements.
  • Design and conduct sessions on social-emotional skills and self-regulation.
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate social-emotional learning into the curriculum.
  • Implement early intervention programmes to address potential issues.
  • Participate in regular meetings with Student Development and Discipline teams; liaise with external professionals when needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and guidance on academic and career-related concerns.
  • Assist in transition processes for students in need.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of programmes and gather feedback to improve processes.
  • Prepare and submit reports on disciplinary activities and student outcomes.

Job Scope
Intervention Measures:
  • Provide individual and group intervention and investigative sessions for students
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies for students with specific disciplinary issues
  • Maintain confidential records of such sessions and student progress, including taking students’ statements
Preventive Measures:
  • Design and conduct sessions for students on social-emotional skills and self-regulation
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate social-emotional learning into the curriculum
  • Implement early intervention programmes to address potential issues before they escal
Collaboration and Networking:
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Student Development and Discipline teams
  • Liaise with external professionals and agencies when necessary for student support
  • Engage in professional development activities and share best practices
Student Support:
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing acute challenges
  • Offer guidance on academic and career-related concerns
  • Assist in the transition process for students in need
Programme Evaluation:
  • Conduct regular effectiveness assessments of discipline programmes and approaches
  • Gather feedback from students, teachers, and parents to improve processes
  • Prepare and submit reports on disciplinary activities and student outcomes
Time Commitment:
  • Provide Student Management services for 40 (8 hours x 5 days) hours per week, with specific hours to be negotiated
  • Be available for occasional after-hours support in case of emergencies
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications and experience:
  • A diploma in social work or equivalent or higher
  • 1 year of relevant student management experience in Singapore
