Job summary

LITEC ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Structural Steel Engineer with a strong understanding of construction drawings, materials, and methods to drive project execution.

You will plan schedules, manage materials, control costs, supervise site works, and maintain comprehensive documentation, coordinating with consultants and the PM to resolve on-site issues. Degree in Civil/Structural engineering with 5+ years of structural steel experience is required.

Qualifications

Job description

Structural Steel Engineer

Strong understanding construction drawing, material and method

Carry out construction work scheduling, material requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation

Maintain records of works, materials and all completed works

Keeping track on variation and claims of contract and costimpact and feedback information to the PM

Implement cost control measures to meet project budget

Site co-ordination with all concerned parties and to resolve site issues

Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation,according to the Project Management Plan.

Liaising with consultants on design analysis, design work,design check for approval and to resolve technical issues on site.

Site inspection for civil work, which includes excavation,structural, casting and ensure that the work is executed as per the project specification and construction drawing/final approved drawing from authorities.

Ensure site supervisor / worker carried out meet out quality standards and contractual requirements.

To control materials, plan the overall schedule and implement specific planning measures

Assist in project planning, defining scope, and maintaining project schedules.

Maintain project documentation, contracts, change orders, and reports.

Monitor and control master programme

Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Project Manager

Requirements:

• Degree or Postgraduate master's in Engineering (Civil or Structural) or related field recognised by Professional Engineers (Approved Qualifications) / Singapore Institute of Technology / National University of Singapore, the Nanyang Technological University / the Singapore University of Technology and Design/ Commissioner-specified/Resident Engineer-accepted institution.
• The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel field, with at least completed one project as track record.
