Job summary

Samsung-C in Singapore is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to lead structural design and on-site construction management. You will perform structural analysis for permanent and temporary works, prepare detailed shop drawings, and ensure compliance with codes and project specifications.

Coordination with architects, MEP teams, and contractors is essential to maintain timelines and quality.

• Shop Drawing Management: Oversee and prepare detailed structural shop drawings, including reinforced concrete (RC) detailing, structural steel fabrication drawings, and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
• Technical Review & Compliance: Act as a design checker to review contractor/subcontractor shop drawing submittals for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project specifications and local building codes.
• Construction Support: Resolve design discrepancies and site-related technical issues. Coordinate with site teams to manage site activities align with approved drawings.
• Coordination: Liaise with architects, consultants, and contractors to integrate structural systems with other disciplines (E&M, MEP) to avoid clashes and ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements:

• At least a Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in structural design and construction management.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant design codes and requirements and construction methodologies, materials (steel, concrete).
