Job summary

Job description

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced and client-focused Structural Engineer to join our structures team in Singapore. The right candidate will be a key member of our APAC structures group and work on some of the most exciting projects across Asia and internationally.

As part of our established team of expert engineers and technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will lead a project team in delivering projects throughout the entire process of structural engineering design, across a variety of sectors.

You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships and ensure repeat business.

You will act as a mentor to provide coaching and training to junior engineers.

The Skills

• Accredited BEng or MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering with Professional Engineer registration with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
• Proven experience of managing medium / large size projects and delivering to time and budgetary deadlines, whilst complying with operational and other procedures.
• Broad and deep technical knowledge in Structural Engineering, plus demonstrable understanding of other disciplines.
• Proficient in designing all types of common structural materials and forms and have proven experience leading projects and interacting and developing good relationships with clients.
• Familiar with local codes of practice and authority submission and approval procedures.
• Competent user of relevant structural engineering software.
• Awareness / knowledge of advanced computational design and visual programming approaches and tools for structural engineering, such as grasshopper is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
