Ramboll in Singapore is seeking a Structural Engineer with 3+ years in design of high-rise and complex buildings. You will contribute to analysis, design and delivery from concept through close-out, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across BIM, façade and services.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years’ post-graduate structural design experience.
• Experience with building structures using local and international codes.
• Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM, Robot or similar tools.
• Clear technical reports, calculations and design documentation.

Structural Engineer - “High-Rise & Complex Buildings”

If you have at least three years’ structural design experience, preferably in a consulting engineering environment, join our APAC High-rise & Complex Buildings team in Singapore as our new Structural Engineer.

Your new role

As our new Structural Engineer, you will contribute to the analysis, design and delivery of building structures from concept through detailed design, tender, construction support and project close-out. You will prepare calculations, design reports, sketches, drawings, specifications, technical notes and authority submissions, working closely with senior engineers and project leads.

You will work on a diverse portfolio of Singapore and international projects, including high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, residential, institutional and complex building developments.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across structural engineering, building services, façade, geotechnical, sustainability and digital design, coordinating closely with architects, BIM teams, specialist consultants and clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking structural analysis and design for building projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project leads.
• Preparing calculations, reports, sketches, drawings, specifications, technical notes and other project deliverables.
• Developing and reviewing structural design and finite element analysis models.
• Coordinating with BIM modellers, technicians and other disciplines to produce coordinated models and drawings.
• Supporting authority submissions, tender submissions and responses to technical queries.
• Participating in design reviews, project meetings and interdisciplinary coordination workshops.
• Contributing to design optimisation, buildability reviews and practical resolution of technical challenges.
• Supporting bids, proposals, technical presentations, knowledge sharing and team capability development.

Your new team

You will join Ramboll’s Buildings business in Singapore, Ramboll’s APAC hub, as part of the APAC High-rise & Complex Buildings team.

We deliver projects from concept design through detailed design, procurement, construction support and handover, drawing on Ramboll’s global knowledge base and local market experience.

Qualifications

About you

For this role, the following qualifications, skills and capabilities will help you succeed:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ post-graduate experience in structural design, preferably within an engineering consultancy.
• Experience designing building structures using relevant local and international codes and standards.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM, Robot or similar tools.
• Ability to prepare clear calculations, technical reports, sketches and design documentation.
• Working knowledge of BIM-enabled design coordination and collaboration with modellers and technicians.
• Knowledge of parametric or computational design tools such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Python or C# would be an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
