Job summary

Aurecon Singapore is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead design and analysis for infrastructure projects, including underground and elevated MRT stations, leveraging global design codes and local standards.

The role requires extensive experience in Singapore, hands-on software proficiency, and strong coordination skills to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• A recognized Degree/Masters in Civil Engineering.
• 8–12 years of related consultancy experience, with at least 5 years of Singapore experience.
• Proven proficiency in structural design and analysis for underground rail/road infrastructure in Singapore and overseas.
• Strong understanding of Euro Design Codes, Singapore Standards and Codes of Practice; familiarity with LTA, BCA, PUB requirements; hands-on with SAP2000, SAFE, StaadPro, Prokon, Tekla Tedds.
• Energetic, proactive, and reliable team player with excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural engineering design and analysis on infrastructure projects (including MRT stations and tunnels).
• Delegate tasks within a workgroup and mentor other structural engineers.
• Work independently and use initiative to resolve tasks at a competent level.
• Prepare detailed reports or sections of reports.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with regulations.
• Oversee project schedules and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Provide technical expertise to aid value engineering.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, managers and clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Undertake structural engineering design and analysis on infrastructure construction projects (including underground / elevated MRT stations and tunnels) and be able to deliver solutions to more complex problems.
• Delegate tasks within a workgroup, act as a technical competent person to mentor and develop technical capabilities of other structural engineers within the team, while providing structural design expertise in overseeing all technical aspects of projects.
• Work independently.
• Use initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise at a competent level.
• Prepare detailed reports or sections of reports.
• Ensure that the work meets good quality standards and complies with regulations.
• Oversee project schedules and deliverables, and ensure they are completed on time.
• Provide technical expertise to aid in value engineering.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, managers and Clients.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Degree/Masters in Civil Engineering recognised by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board or qualification acceptable to the government agencies including BCA
• Minimum 8 to 12 years of related consultancy experience with at least 5 years of Singapore experience in the structural design of infrastructure projects which includes underground & elevated MRT stations and tunnels.
• Proven proficiency and experience in structural engineering design and analysis on underground rail and road infrastructure projects in Singapore and overseas.
• Strong understanding of Euro Design Codes, Singapore Standards and Codes of Practice, and statutory requirements (LTA ,BCA, PUB etc.), with hands on experience in usage of Structural Engineering Software such as SAP2000, SAFE, StaadPro, Prokon, Tekla Tedds etc.
• Energetic, proactive, and reliable team player with excellent communication, project co-ordination and management skills.
