Job summary

JAC Recruitment Consultant in Singapore seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to lead steel procurement strategy, supplier management, and commercial negotiations across a global portfolio. The role requires deep market knowledge of steel, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work with regional stakeholders and trading counterparts.

You will own supplier relationships, drive RFQs, evaluate bids, and secure competitive pricing and supply.

Qualifications

Proven steel procurement or trading experience in metals.
Direct experience with China-based mills and suppliers.
Strong negotiations and supplier relationship skills.
Understanding of steel products, grades, and specs.
Experience managing strategic supplier portfolios.
Knowledge of steel market dynamics and pricing trends.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing and procurement activities for steel products and raw materials.
Develop and manage relationships with key mills and suppliers.
Drive RFQs, evaluations, tenders, negotiations and contracts.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and strategic partnerships.
Monitor market developments and supply-demand dynamics.
Collaborate with logistics, finance, and operations to optimize procurement.
Support trade-related activities including import/export coordination and compliance.
