Job summary

MNC Client in the north east location, Singapore, is seeking a Strategic Commodity Manager responsible for non-ferrous metal procurement for manufacturing. You will drive strategic sourcing, market intelligence, cost optimization and risk management to ensure a resilient supply chain.

Key responsibilities include developing commodity strategies for metals (tin, aluminum, copper), analyzing indices and market trends, driving cost improvements, developing tools and playbooks, building procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Metallurgy or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of strategic commodity procurement experience in electronics/semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience with non-ferrous metals or specialized materials procurement.
• Experience with commodity index-based pricing models.
• Understanding of global metal markets (Tin, Cu, Al) and pricing mechanisms.
• Ability to interpret market trends and price forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain commodity strategies for key metals (Tin, Al, Cu).
• Analyze commodity indices, market trends, and supply-demand dynamics.
• Drive cost improvement and value engineering initiatives.
• Develop commodity management tools, playbooks and best practices.
• Develop procurement team competencies on fundamentals and strategies.
• Maintain commodity dashboards and forecasting tools.
