Job summary

JPN INDUSTRIAL TRADING PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to manage end-to-end sourcing for machinery spare parts and materials in Singapore. You will lead the procurement team, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery aligned with project timelines.

The role requires strategic sourcing, strong supplier management, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize costs and efficiency within local and overseas supply chains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or related field.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of machinery spare parts, sourcing, supplier contracts, PO management.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the procurement team, overseeing daily purchasing activities, task allocation, performance monitoring, and staff development.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support project requirements, operational needs, cost optimization, and business objectives.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, price negotiation, PO management, and delivery coordination for machinery spare parts and materials from local and overseas suppliers.
• Review, evaluate, and approve purchase requisitions, quotations, products, and services to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify, assess, and onboard qualified suppliers in accordance with company procedures and compliance.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
• Oversee purchase orders issuance, validation, and maintenance to align with budgets.
• Manage supplier contracts, quotations, invoices, and procurement records for compliance.
• Monitor PO status, shipments, and delivery progress, coordinating with overseas suppliers, logistics, clients, and internal teams to resolve delays.
• Oversee inventory and stock control to meet project schedules.
• Supervise preparation and issuance of tax invoices, quotations, purchase orders, and related docs timely.
• Monitor procurement expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Manage daily procurement communications with suppliers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, regulations, and approvals.
• Collaborate with project managers, warehouse, finance, and other departments to align procurement with schedules.
