Job summary

BENG HUI MARINE ELECTRICAL PTE. LTD. Singapore is seeking a procurement specialist to manage supplier communications, evaluate quotations, and support sales quotations.

You will source electrical products, compare options, coordinate samples, and ensure timely delivery to meet customer requirements. The role requires a Diploma or above in Supply Chain or Procurement, 1–2 years in sourcing, strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or a related role is preferred.
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work independently and as a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Technical knowledge or experience in electrical products or a related industry will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review product sourcing requests from the Sales team.
• Contact suppliers to obtain product availability, specifications, pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, and other information.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations to identify the most suitable sourcing options.
• Compare supplier pricing, lead times, quality, and terms to support quotation preparation.
• Clarify technical or product requirements with suppliers where necessary.
• Source alternative products or suppliers when the requested item cannot be obtained or does not meet requirements.
• Coordinate samples, product images, specifications, and other information required by Sales/customers.
• Maintain accurate records of sourcing enquiries, supplier quotations, costs, and product information.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure quotations and information are received within the required timeframe.
• Communicate sourcing findings and recommendations clearly to the Sales team.
• Support Sales in identifying cost-effective sourcing solutions to improve quotation competitiveness.
• Develop and maintain a database of reliable suppliers for non-standard products.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with company requirements and quality standards.
• Perform other administrative and sourcing-related duties as required.
