Job summary

Adecco is partnering with the public sector to fill a Strategic Projects & Procurement Specialist (Public Sector) role. The incumbent will coordinate stakeholder workstreams, support procurement activities, and manage vendor and budget aspects for a major closure project.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, stakeholder management skills, and prior experience in public sector procurement, tender management, and contract oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Prior experience in public sector procurement, including tender management, bid evaluation and presentations, is preferred.
• Prior project management experience is preferred.
• Prior contract management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders including government agencies, suppliers and consultants to coordinate key workstreams.
• Support procurement activities, including specifications, documentation, evaluation reports and contract awards.
• Manage vendor and consultant relationships, including site inspections when required.
• Develop and implement policies and guidelines across project workstreams.
• Provide project management and administrative support: records, filing, billing tracking and budgeting.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, prepare notes and track action items.
• Provide ad-hoc administrative and project support as required.
