Job summary

VITAL, a government-focused procurement services unit under the Ministry of Finance, is seeking a role in its Public Sector Procurement Services. The candidate will analyse government expenditure, develop and manage the procurement program, and support service partners in procurement processes to deliver cost savings and improved services.

The position emphasizes end-to-end procurement management, contract negotiations, and strong stakeholder engagement with government agencies and service

Qualifications

• Entry level position; candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in procurement in the public sector would be preferred.
• Excellent written, presentation and verbal skills.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Independent, highly motivated and proactive.
• Able to interact with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyse government spend data and develop sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and process improvements.
• Manage end-to-end procurement cycles, including tender planning, publication, evaluation and awarding.
• Lead contract negotiations and monitor contract performance for the government procurement services program.
• Assess supplier performance against defined KPIs and client expectations.
• Build strong relationships with client agencies and provide procurement advisory on policies and best practices.
• Facilitate client engagement activities, service reviews and issue resolution.
