Job summary

Dynamic Human Capital Pte Ltd is seeking a Merchandising Executive (Purchasing) for an education & lifestyle retail role in Singapore. You will collaborate with the Director, Operations & Business to drive sourcing across stationery, books, and lifestyle merchandise, manage supplier relationships, select products, and ensure quality standards while aligning with market trends.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in business/marketing or related.
• 2-3 years' purchasing experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to assigned locations around Singapore.
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new products while overseeing assigned merchandise portfolios.
• Develop assortment strategies, category mix, and range plans to meet business goals.
• Evaluate pricing approaches to optimise revenue and profit margins.
• Compile data-driven insights to support vendor negotiations.
• Liaise with suppliers on promotional activities and ensure timely stock fulfilment.
• Track and manage slow-moving items to improve sell-through performance.
• Ensure consistent replenishment of high-demand products.
• Monitor inventory levels to reduce excess stock and markdown exposure.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product launches and campaign execution.
• Generate monthly reports on sales performance and inventory trends.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Perform regular store audits to uphold visual merchandising standards.
• Support planning/execution of store-related activities - openings, renovations, closures, BTS orders, and offsite retail events.
• Assist with campaigns, events, and general merchandising administrative support
