Job summary

Dynamic Human Capital Pte Ltd is seeking a Merchandising Executive to join the team in Singapore. You will support product sourcing, category management, inventory planning and supplier coordination for retail stores.

The role offers a monthly salary in the SG$3,000–3,700 range plus variable bonus and transport coverage. Office hours are Mon-Fri at our North-East Singapore location, with company-provided staff transport from select areas.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Retail, Marketing, Business or related field.
• Candidates with retail industry experience are encouraged to apply.
• 2+ years of relevant merchandising/category management experience is advantageous.
• Experience managing product categories and driving merchandising performance is beneficial.
• Familiarity with sourcing and managing overseas suppliers, incl. China, is advantageous.
• SAP familiarity is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new products within assigned categories (stationery, education materials, lifestyle).
• Manage category allocation, assortment planning, and range strategy.
• Analyse pricing strategies and impact on sales and margins.
• Prepare data and insights to support supplier negotiations.
• Liaise with suppliers on promotions, deliveries and stock fulfilment.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock ageing, and sell-through performance.
• Develop strategies to manage slow-moving items and optimise turnover.
• Ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving products.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute launches and promotions.
• Prepare monthly sell-through, inventory and performance reports.

About the role

My Client is seeking for a Merchandising Executive to join their team and support product sourcing, category management, inventory planning, and supplier coordination activities (retail stores)

Salary: $3,000 - $3,700 + VB + Transport Coverage

Working hours: MON- FRI Office hours

Location: North-East Singapore, Serangoon

(Company catered staff transport from; Jurong, Ang Mo Kio, Bedok)

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new products within assigned categories (stationary, education materials, lifestyle products)
• Manage category allocation, assortment planning, and range strategy
• Analyse pricing strategies and their impact on sales performance and margins
• Prepare data and insights to support supplier negotiations
• Liaise with suppliers on promotions, deliveries, and stock fulfilment
• Monitor inventory levels, stock ageing, and sell-through performance
• Develop strategies to manage slow-moving items and optimise inventory turnover
• Ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving products

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Retail, Marketing, Business or a related discipline
• Candidates with experience in the retail industry are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience in merchandising or category management within a retail environment will have an advantage
• Experience in managing product categories and driving merchandising performance would be advantageous
• Familiarity with sourcing and managing suppliers from overseas markets, including China, will be advantageous
• Familiarity with SAP is an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong interpersonal skills, including analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
