Job summary

Siltronic Silicon Wafer Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Production Planner to develop and implement shop floor scheduling strategies, ensuring throughput and on-hand inventory targets are met. You will coordinate capacity planning, time studies, and capacity changes across processes to optimize flow.

The role requires an engineering degree and strong skills in logistics, costing, and advanced Excel. Experience with C++ is a plus, with VBA proficiency considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Knowledge of logistic processes and systems in manufacturing.
• Manufacturing process and product costing.
• High level of PC skills.
• Team management.
• Knowledge in C++ and proficiency in Microsoft Excel – Visual Basic will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define strategies for shop floor scheduling to meet the planned throughput.
• Define strategies for monthly WIP setting, production target, to achieve inventories days-on-hand targets.
• Determine equipment capacity by time studies considering material flow and process/product influences.
• Identify potential improvements regarding capacity and material flow.
• Define and update the strategy regarding yield and process time variation to ensure fulfillment of customer demand.
• Schedule ingot growing according to product mix and puller capacities.
• Plan and execute ingot deliveries to international sites.
• Adjust starts and ingot growing plans to manage changes in specs requirements.
