Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Procurement specialist to manage vendor and supplier relationships, and to lead end-to-end purchasing of materials and services. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable supply and cost efficiency.

Key duties include issuing quotations, processing purchase orders, monitoring inventory to prevent stockouts, and maintaining accurate records of pricing and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in vendor/supplier management and building supplier partnerships.
• Hands-on procurement and buying experience.
• Manufacturing and raw-material procurement experience preferred.
• Equipment, MRO, or services procurement is less relevant.

Responsibilities

• Manage quotation, process purchase orders and requisitions.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing and supplier performance.
• Maintain PO health against approvals.
• Develop relationships with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Support localization, direct sourcing, and BCP initiatives.
• Analyze purchasing data and generate reports.
• Implement PO collaboration, supplier pull, VMI, MRP and/or historical usage to balance demand and supply against forecast, AOP and ROP targets.
• Balance inventory level with service and cost.
• Coordinate urgent shipments and resolve PO issues.
• Ensure that purchased products meet quality standards and collaborate with QA on supplier performance.
