Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement, supplier partnerships and material availability in a manufacturing setting. You will handle quotations, requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery while balancing cost and quality.

The role involves coordinating with production, finance and quality teams, optimizing inventory, performing data analysis for cost-saving opportunities, and supporting MRP/VMI-driven planning to maintain supply

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in SCM, procurement, business, engineering or related field.
• Hands-on purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with MRP and ERP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including quotations, requisitions and purchase orders.
• Monitor PO status, ageing and overdue orders for timely fulfilment.
• Build relationships with local and overseas suppliers for reliable supply and terms.
• Coordinate material replenishment to prevent stockouts and reduce excess inventory.
• Analyse purchasing data and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support material planning using MRP, VMI and usage history data.
• Drive sourcing initiatives and continuity planning to mitigate risks.
• Expedite deliveries and resolve supply/receiving issues with cross-functional teams.
