Job summary

Seatrium Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Procurement & Sourcing professional to identify and select IT vendors, negotiate SLAs, and manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle. You will collaborate with IT teams, assist in supplier evaluation, and ensure compliant PO-GR-Invoice flow across multiple yards.

The role emphasizes strong negotiation, vendor management, and knowledge of SAP MM and Oracle procurement modules, with a focus on IT hardware, software, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT procurement or IT asset management.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Software licensing models (SaaS, perpetual, subscription).
• IoT devices and protocols.
• Networking hardware and configurations.
• Digital platforms and cloud services.
• Familiarity with IT security standards and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management.
• Resourceful with high level of honesty and integrity.
• Has initiative and hold information in the strictest confidence.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP (MM module preferred) and/or Oracle procurement modules.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for software, IoT, networking, and digital solutions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and SLAs to optimize cost and value.
• Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including RFQs, RFPs, and contract management.
• Conduct sourcing activities, obtain competitive quotes, and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with internal policies and approval matrices.
• Support contract and price negotiations to achieve cost savings and value improvements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing, lead times, and supplier data within systems.
• Interact with approved suppliers to track order status, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with vendors regarding product specifications, delivery schedules, and order fulfilment issues.
• Escalate supplier performance issues and support vendor evaluation processes.
• Collaborate with IT teams to understand technical requirements and ensure compatibility of purchased products.
• Evaluate vendor offerings for technical compliance, scalability, and security standards.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in IoT, networking, and digital platforms.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to understand material requirements.
• Work closely with logistics, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless PO-GR-Invoice flow.
• Ensure compliance with Seatrium procurement procedures, audit requirements, and governance standards.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, cost management guidelines, and compliance frameworks.
• Support audits by providing documentation, system records, and traceability.
• Identify potential risks in supply availability, pricing, or vendor reliability, and escalate when necessary.
