Job summary

The Public Utilities Board (PUB) in Singapore seeks an Engineer in the Flood Resilience Planning Department to join the Planning & Strategy team responsible for charting medium to long-term flood resilience strategies for Singapore in response to climate change.

You will help formulate plans to strengthen resilience against coastal and inland flooding, coordinate with PUB teams and other agencies, and contribute to planning for coastal protection and drainage infrastructure.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
Strong analytical, writing, communication and presentation skills.
Experience with hydrological, hydraulic and coastal-engineering processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and review flood resilience plans and strategies considering climate projections.
Develop codes of practice and guidelines for coastal protection and stormwater drainage infrastructure.
Coordinate with government agencies and external stakeholders on coastal, stormwater and other infrastructure plans.
Support tender preparation and administration of consultancy studies for flood resilience planning.
Conduct technical analyses to support flood resilience frameworks, plans and policy reviews.
Prepare materials and conduct presentations for management and inter-agency meetings.
Support and conduct briefings to professional bodies and industry associations on Codes of Practice and technical guidelines.
