Job summary

PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, invites an Engineer to join the Flood Resilience Planning Department to help chart medium- to long-term flood resilience strategies for Singapore amid climate change.

You will develop plans for coastal protection and inland drainage, and coordinate with ministries, agencies, and industry stakeholders to translate analyses into implementable infrastructure strategies. The role emphasizes rigorous analysis, communication, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or related discipline.
• Strong interest in hydrological, hydraulic and coastal-engineering processes for drainage and coastal protection planning.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving solutions.
• Willingness to learn and adapt solutions to Singapore’s context.
• Excellent analytical, writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented with good planning and coordination.
• Ability to work independently and across teams.
• Experience with quantitative data analytics software and GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review flood resilience plans and strategies with climate projections.
• Assist in developing codes of practice and technical guidelines for coastal protection and drainage infrastructure.
• Coordinate with government agencies and external stakeholders on infrastructure plans.
• Support tender preparation and studies for flood resilience planning.
• Conduct analyses to support flood resilience frameworks and policy reviews.
• Prepare materials and present at management and inter-agency meetings.
• Brief professional bodies and industry associations on guidelines.
