Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency in Singapore is seeking an Engineer to support planning and strategy for medium- to long-term flood resilience. You will develop plans addressing coastal and inland flooding, and coordinate with PUB teams and government agencies.

You will contribute to codes of practice, technical guidelines, and analyses to support policy reviews and implementation. The role emphasizes collaboration, data analysis, and clear communication across diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or related discipline.
Interest in hydrological, hydraulic and coastal-engineering processes.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Willingness to learn and adapt to Singapore's context.

Responsibilities

Develop and review flood resilience plans and strategies factoring in climate projections.
Assist in developing codes of practice and guidelines for coastal protection and drainage infrastructure.
Coordinate with government agencies and external stakeholders on infrastructure plans.
Support tender preparation and administration of consultancy studies for flood resilience planning.
Conduct technical analyses to support flood resilience frameworks and policy reviews.
Prepare materials and conduct presentations for management and inter-agency meetings.
Brief professional bodies and industry associations on guidelines and practice.
